Volunteers

Have you ever thought of volunteering for the MS Moonlight Walk?

The MS Moonlight Walk is a very important date on Brisbane’s event calendar and simply would not be possible without the help of our dedicated team of volunteers.

When people volunteer for the MS Moonlight Walk, they always have a fantastic and rewarding time. All volunteers will be supported by MS Queensland staff, and will be fully briefed for their role.

Volunteers are based at South Bank and throughout the course to assist with a variety of jobs including event site assistants, merchandise, refreshment stations and course marshals.

All volunteers will be provided with a red MS Queensland volunteer shirt, personal protective equipment and a water bottle, and will be required to sign in and out to their respective positions on the day.

Why become a volunteer?

Being a volunteer for the MS Moonlight Walk is more than just helping out. It is being able to contribute to an event that is raising funds to assist people living with multiple sclerosis. By volunteering for the MS Moonlight Walk, you too will be doing your part to help ensure no one faces MS alone.

To volunteer for this year’s Moonlight Walk, please email the Events Team at Events@msqld.org.au

bVolunteer Roles

Pre Event Volunteers

Pre-Event Volunteers help to complete a wide range of activities to ensure the event and the participants are ready to go! This includes:

  • Packing In Your Neighbourhood Packs and Merchandise. This helps the participants maximise their fundraising and prepare for the event.
  • Resident Notifications is an important part of preparing for the event. By dropping letters to residents and buisnesses in the local area, we can ensure everyone is prepared!
  • Pre Event Set up is all about ensuring the event site is set up and ready to go when the walkers arrive!

Shifts are Monday – Friday in the months leading up to the event with full or half days available.
