I am raising funds to shine a light on Queenslanders living with MS and neurological conditions.

I am taking part in the 2025 MS Moonlight Walk to shine a light on the 1 million Queenslanders living with a neurological condition like multiple sclerosis (MS), demetia, Parkinsons and epilepsy

With glowing lanterns held high, we will walk with purpose, striving towards a united goal of ensuring every Queenslander with a neuro condition can connect to a better life.

Did you know:

  • 1 in 4 Queenslanders are living with a neuro condition

  • Neurological conditions are a group of disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord and/or nerves, and impact the way your mind and body work.

  • Just 6% of Queenslanders living with neurological conditions are receiving vital support via the NDIS.

Your support will help fund essential services for Queenslanders. These services include the NeuroAssist Helpline, specialist nursing services, more Neuro Wellness Hubs and support to access vital funds through the NDIS. Your support will also power research into better treatments, and with your support, our hope is that one day there will be a cure for MS.

Please DONATE to support my walk and together, we will illuminate the path to a brighter future, where no one faces their journey alone.

24 Years with MS – Still Standing, Still Fighting, Still Defying the Odds

Officially 19 years diagnosed with MS. Recently backdated another 5. That makes 24 years living with this unpredictable, relentless condition.

At 17, I was told to quit university. Told to start looking into care homes. That my future would be limited.

They were wrong.

I stayed. I studied. I fought—hard. And I continue to fight every single day.

Now, I’m proud to say I’m training as part of the 2032 Para Development Team. I still teach—maybe not as much as I’d like—but I teach with purpose. Every moment in the classroom matters. Every student I reach makes it worth it.

It hasn’t been easy. MS never is. But it has taught me resilience, determination, and the value of pushing back when the world tells you “you can’t.”

I can.
I have.
I will.

To anyone newly diagnosed or feeling like the path ahead is dark—please know that this is possible. Life doesn't stop with MS. You just learn to live it differently. And sometimes, even more meaningfully.

Here’s to the next chapter. 💪💙 #MSWarrior #ParaAthleteInTraining #StillHere #24YearsStrong #DefyingTheOdds
